Boya House

Darlington, Western Australia

A002401

Set within the bushland foothills of Perth, Boya Residence is a BAL-FZ–compliant home designed for two artists seeking a quiet, resilient sanctuary. The architecture responds to its fire-prone landscape with thoughtful material selection and robust detailing, while still offering light-filled studio spaces and framed views of the surrounding terrain. Blending protection, creativity, and place, the home reflects a balance between environmental responsibility and artistic living.

We offer deep respect to the traditional custodians of this land and honour their ancestors who have nurtured and cared for this country for thousands of years. We pay homage to the living cultures, languages, and knowledge systems of the Noongar, Wurundjeri and all Indigenous Australian peoples.
